Friday 4 July was a glorious summer’s day at Bouw & Infra Park Harderwijk. Over 230 colleagues from Vroom Funderingstechnieken and VDB Funderingstechnieken came together for an intensive and inspiring training day: the perfect setting for a day full of knowledge, practice and connection.
After a warm welcome by Peter Vroom and Jaap Estié on behalf of the trade association NVAF/SOMA, the programme began with a series of substantive workshops and training sessions, focusing on current topics within our sector:
- Inspection of earthmoving machinery (SOMA)
- Inspection of lifting equipment (SOMA)
- Hazard recognition with electrical equipment (SOMA)
- Signals and communication (SOMA)
- Securing of loads (V-tas)
- Artificial intelligence (AI)
- Cybersecurity
- Technical deep dive into cast-in-situ piles (by Vroom’s own structural engineers)
- Capacity determination of foundation rigs / machine tables (Aboma)
- TEXA diagnostics (diagnostic equipment)
- Load-bearing capacity of excavations
- Safe working with PUR foam – diisocyanates (Westpoort)
- Load-bearing capacity measurement of excavations (Vroom)
With this broad mix of subjects, our colleagues not only gained practical knowledge but also insights into the latest developments in safety, digitalisation and machine deployment.
