Board changes

On Monday 5 January, all more than 200 employees of Vroom, Beton- en Vlechtbedrijf Hadek and VDB Funderingstechnieken attended the first Training Day, which was held at Hotel Van der Valk in Oostzaan.

Peter Vroom opened the day with a warm welcome and his best wishes for 2026, after which he shared a personal story about his long career at Vroom and the conclusion of his role as Managing Director: “I am not saying goodbye, but I am taking on a new role.” In this new role, Peter has joined the Advisory Board (RvA). The Advisory Board is a group of independent experts that provides Vroom’s Executive Board with strategic advice, both solicited and unsolicited, and supports them in addressing (complex) issues, including continuity, business growth, professionalisation and digitalisation, acting as a strategic sounding board. In addition to Peter Vroom, the Advisory Board consists of Pieter Leyssius (CraftCapital), Niels Huber (Boon Edam) and Piet van Hoeven (formerly VolkerWessels).

With immediate effect, Vroom’s Executive Board is composed of Niels Bakker, Theo van Putten, Elisa Bot and Sandro Pronk. The four board members outlined their roles and responsibilities for the various business units through clear presentations, engaging employees with both a review of the past year and an outlook for the years ahead.
