In close cooperation with Aannemingsbedrijf Dozy, we are supplying DPA screw piles and installing precast foundation elements for the new-build project on Balistraat in Den Helder. A sustainable and efficient foundation approach for 52 characterful new homes.

For the redevelopment of Balistraat, we are providing both the DPA screw piles and the assembly of precast foundation elements. Vroom has been involved in this project from an early stage, resulting in an optimised foundation solution in collaboration with Aannemingsbedrijf Dozy. The balance between the drilling work and the precast elements not only ensures efficient material usage, but also contributes to a reduction in CO₂ emissions. The smooth and goal-oriented cooperation with Dozy guarantees a tight construction schedule: on average, the foundations are installed just a few days after the piles have been driven.

Redevelopment with character

Commissioned by Helder Vastgoed, Dozy is constructing 52 sustainable new-build homes on the Balistraat in Den Helder. On the site of outdated workers' houses from 1919, a contemporary residential project is emerging — one that honours the past. The homes, designed by Braaksma & Roos architects, combine historical architectural features with modern comfort and sustainable solutions such as solar panels, high-performance insulation, and nesting facilities for birds. Each house will include three bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper floor. Local residents are deeply involved: no fewer than 19 tenants will return enthusiastically to their beloved street.
