It has become a familiar collaboration with the two divisions of Vroom for BAM Wonen Nieuwbouwconcepten. We started in November 2022 by driving the pre-cast piles, on which we assembled the pre-cast foundation beams. Once the pile driving was complete we still needed a short period in which to assemble the remaining foundation beams, after which the other construction stages could begin.
A smart combination with a short lead time, as the planning schedule is perfectly synchronised at each stage. Downsizing the deployment of equipment and people led to economic savings here, too.
Efficient construction, sustainable living
In this phase the project covers 65 energy-efficient, future-proof residential units. The development of the Quatrebras Badhoevedorp area comprises a number of different sub-areas, including Quatrebras Park, which is divided into three sections. Quatrebras Park is a development with around 550 dwellings, a large part of which has already been completed. The whole Quatrebras area development is made up of around 1,200 dwellings. The dwellings are being fitted with individual ground-source heat pumps. In combination with good insulation and solar panels, this ensures that each dwelling is very energy-efficient, sustainable (BENG2=0, which is equivalent to an A++++ energy label) and future proof.
The plan embraces the vision of AM, which it promotes as the market leader in the field of urban creation. The area development as a whole is made up of an eighty-hectare multi-functional area with a new urban centre, 1,200 dwellings, an industrial estate measuring 120,000 m2, community amenities and new public spaces with a park and a sport/recreation area. The development of the area is giving considerable impetus to the quality of life in Badhoevedorp and will soon offer a great new place to live, work and spend leisure time for a diverse range of residents.
Badhoevedorp was already a fine place to live and it will get even better. The re-routing of the A9 motorway has created a number of opportunities to develop Badhoevedorp along more attractive, cleaner lines now that the peace has returned to what, in the past, had always been a village with plenty greenery. Badhoevedorp will again be able to show its original allure. Its accessibility, the greenery and extensive amenities (sport in particular) make the village the ideal place for families and others who prefer to live outside the urban sprawl but would prefer to stay close to Amsterdam.
