Following the earlier publication on the pile class factors of the DPA-PLUS screw pile, it remained quiet for a month and a half. This was not only due to the Christmas recess, but also because the draft Self-Declaration and the accompanying expert report were subjected to particularly thorough scrutiny.
Today we can announce that the pile class factors have been definitively established. As a result, there is no longer any doubt that safe foundation works using DPA-PLUS screw piles are possible.
The figures confirm that the DPA-PLUS screw pile generates substantially higher bearing capacity than comparable pile systems. This makes the system a highly economical and sustainable alternative. The pile class factors are: αp = 0,265 and αs = 0,0152.
We are convinced that even greater performance can be derived from this pile system. For that reason, we will shortly commence additional research aimed at further increasing the pile class factors for nationwide application. In parallel, we are actively working on new developments relating to the Self-Declaration for the DPA screw pile.
With this certification, we continue to build together towards a future-proof foundation industry.
