Bo-Ex is the sole housing corporation that is building rental-sector dwellings in Rijnvliet, in the south-east of the Leidsche Rijn area of Utrecht. Over the next few years 176 detached homes and 21 apartments in total in the social-housing sector. The first thirty residences will soon be completed.
Rijnvliet development, 61 dwellings

Koopmans Bouw is building a total of 61 detached homes in the Midden and Noord areas of the new neighbourhood of Rijnvliet. On behalf of Appel Beton Opmeer Vroom is installing 196 foundation beams and 33 lay-down areas.
Zero meter usage
These are energy-efficient dwellings with solar panels that generate enough power for day-to-day energy consumption. The dwellings also have triple glazing, under-floor heating, excellent insulation and a ventilation heat pump. There is no connection to the gas main as the dwellings will run on electricity only. At average levels, residents will not have to pay any energy bills, so their living costs will fall.
