From a platform, the piles have been applied above the water. First, hollow tubes have been driven with a table subsequently built over them. This table was used in order to drive the piles above the water. Using pontoons on this location was impossible as the water isn’t deep enough.
Prefab foundation offering the solution
Pouring a foundation above the water like this is not easily done, therefore, the choice for a prefab foundation was made as it offers an economically interesting option because of the convenience and the speed. For effects from the water, high-quality concrete was used. From a raft, the foundation beams have been mounted one by one like LEGO bricks. Within a day, the complete foundation was positioned.
Dimensioning process
Setting out pickets above the water is not possible so all piles are being dimensioned on the spot. Even during the piling process, the position was constantly corrected in order to get the piles onto the right place. Also the prefab foundation was positioned coordinated by Vroom’s dimensioning service during the mounting process.
