‘Children’s centre’ and gymnasium

237 piles 4872 m2 floor space

On the Buitenroede in Avenhorn a children’s’ centre will be opening in 2021, accommodating the Jozefschool, Overhaal and De Ieveling primary schools. It will also be home to the Berend Botje crèche. On 6 April, we drove the first of a total of 236 piles that will be used for the foundations.

The children’s centre will also offer space for a gymnasium. In the centre, children will be able to develop themselves, in line with current educational practices, of course.

Parties involved

The client for the gymnasium is the local authority of koggenland, on behalf of the SKO Westfriesland school. The project is being overseen by Hecon Bouwgroep from De Goorn, a company that is familiar to the local authority, since they also built the extension to the town hall.
