Heembouw and Kennemerland Beheer (KB) are developing the planned “West-End” area for use as a residential area. The aim is to create an exceptionally sustainable neighbourhood. Gas-free, in part zero meter use (ZMU) dwellings and otherwise ‘very energy-efficient’ homes. We give these dwellings a complete foundation package, which is made up of driven piles, foundation beams, foundation blocks and lay-down areas.

The Westend project is being developed in 3 phases, these 34 dwellings forming part of phase 2. The site is just round the corner for contractor Heembouw, whose head office is less than a kilometre down the road in Roelofarendsveen.

Westend

Wonen in Westend is a project in the area between the ribbon development on the Westeinde in Roelofarendsveen and the Braassemerdreef. In total, around 240 dwellings will be built here. Christoph Kohl Stadtplaner Architekten of Berlin is in charge of the urban development plan, which envisages a lot of green space. A significant feature of the architecture is the rural atmosphere, which is in line with the idyllic polder-landscape.
