Vibro piles type HBF

Vibro piles, type HBF, are highly suitable for projects in residential construction, commercial construction, infrastructure, and the energy sector. Vibro piles can be produced in large lengths, and the delivery time is always short. Pre-drilling reduces pile-driving vibrations, and the use of a sound barrier during execution provides considerable noise reduction.

Application

  • Suitable for the construction of houses, industrial halls, commercial buildings, and wind turbines.
  • A cost-effective and logistically interesting option compared to traditional systems. Especially when long, large quantities or piles with higher bearing capacity are required.
  • In housing construction and floors at height, can be finished, eliminating the need for pile cropping.
  • Extremely suitable in variable soil conditions that require a varying base level for the pile point. Length adjustment or additional pouring is not necessary. The pile is poured up to the working level.
  • Have a favorable shape and offer maximum load-bearing capacity compared to other systems. Ideal for areas with low bearing capacity at the base level.
  • Provide a flexible work situation in and around the construction pit in urban renewal, where there is limited space for the supply and storage of prefabricated piles. Liquid concrete and small truck mixers offer a solution.
  • Executed at a relatively high production speed.

Features

Vroom Funderingstechnieken can deploy various hydraulically controlled foundation machines. For vibro piles type HBF, foundation machines are used to manufacture pile lengths up to 24 m, 28 m, 32 m, 38 m, and a maximum of 44 m. The application of larger pile lengths than 38 m is investigated upon request.

  • Pile head is poured up to the working level and can be finished above the working level to the desired height.
  • Pile length can be immediately adjusted to the ground conditions; the insertion depth is flexible.
  • Quick delivery time.
  • Adjustments in pile specifications possible until just before the start of work.
  • Batter positions:
  • Backward up to a maximum of 3:1 to 4:1
  • Forward up to a maximum of 4:1 to 10:1.
  • Loadable both in compression and tension.
  • High pile loadings are achievable.
  • Direct finishing to the desired height under certain conditions.
  • The system is soil displacing.
  • Reinforcement possible along the entire length of the pile.
  • Spacers ensure coverage of the reinforcement.
  • Pile system and bearing capacity factors according to Eurocode 7 (NEN 6743).
  • It is a valued and well-known foundation system among structural engineers and the Building and Housing Supervision Service.
  • Applicable for larger numbers, larger dimensions, and longer or more heavily loaded piles compared to other pile types.

Special Aspects

  • Pre-drilling is applied at locations where obstacles may occur in the top layer.
  • Pre-drilling prior to the production of vibro piles type HBF, results in significant reductions in pile-driving vibrations.
  • Noise reductions can be achieved during production when a sound barrier is applied. Vroom Funderingstechnieken, in collaboration with, among others, IHC Hydrohammer and TNO Delft, developed a noise-reducing jacket for this purpose.

Quality Control

Vroom Funderingstechnieken manufactures vibro piles type HBF, according to established execution procedures as part of internal quality control and nationally applicable standards.
All vibro piles type HBF manufactured by Vroom Funderingstechnieken are acoustically measured and assessed by an independent advisory bureau. Thanks to this internal quality control, prompt responses are possible in case of doubts about pile quality or client requests concerning execution.
The concrete for the vibro piles type HBF, comes from certified concrete plants, where the compressive strength figures are available on request. Additional quality control of the concrete is possible through drilling and testing concrete cores from manufactured vibro piles type HBF.

Technical data

Piling Equipment

All foundation machines are equipped with a continuously adjustable hydraulic hammer with a maximum pile-driving energy of 40 to 120 kNm.

  • Hydraulic IHC SC40, SC50, S70, S90, S120
  • Hydraulic Junttan 5000

The IHC S120 hammer is particularly suitable for heavy pile-driving and, like the IHC S70 and S90, can drive piles both downwards and upwards.
N.B. All hammers are closed systems, allowing Vroom Funderingstechnieken to carry out piling work cleanly and environmentally friendly.

Concrete Quality

In C20/25, C25/30, C30/37, and C37/45 quality.

Reinforcement
