Application
- Extensions to houses.
- Foundation repair.
- Internal industrial floors.
- Noise barriers.
- Urban renewal.
Features
- Bearing capacity factors are calculated according to the applicable Eurocode 7 (NEN standards).
- Driving into the pipe requires relatively low energy due to direct force transfer to the pile point and the light weight of the pile being driven, making this technique vibrationally low.
- Pile system is 100% soil displacing.
- Executable in limited working height with small, light, and agile foundation machines.
- Driving depth is dependent on soil conditions.
- Depth control is performed through calendaring.
- Quick delivery time and adjustments in pile specifications are possible until just before the start of the work.
- Sloping driving is possible to a certain extent.
- Driven steel casing piles can be loaded both in compression and tension.
- Under certain conditions, the piles can be directly finished to height.
- Piles can be reinforced over their entire length. Spacers ensure sufficient coverage of the reinforcement.
- Pipe segments are welded together using a bell or ring and a fillet weld.
- Combined with the suitable mini foundation machine, driven steel casing piles are a foundation technique that is quick and flexible for use; both in small projects and in parts of large projects. For example, in situations where the original foundation work has already been carried out and a few extra piles are necessary.
Driven steel casing piles are used in locations with limited workspace or working height, but also in projects where a low level of vibration is required.
Production Techniques
- Driving into the pipe
- External driving
- Pressing
Pressing
The driven steel casing piles are pressed into the ground using jacks, which are anchored to the structural concrete floor on which the entire weight of the building rests. If a fixed base plate is welded to the first pipe segment, the pile system is completely vibration-free. If working with a loose base plate, a concrete foot can be driven out to achieve additional load-bearing capacity.
Mini Foundation Machines are All-rounders
Our mini foundation machines are primarily developed for producing driven steel casing piles in restoration and renovation projects. There are mini machines that can drive through the front door and require little working height and movement space to produce foundation piles. In addition to steel pipe piles, the mini foundation machines also execute other pile systems. For example, concrete screw piles, screw injection piles, wooden piles, and prefab concrete piles. These combinations are also used for extensions and internal pile driving of, for example, industrial floors where at least 6 meters of working height is available.
Quality Control
Vroom Funderingstechnieken installs driven steel casing piles according to an execution procedure established by Vroom Funderingstechnieken in the context of internal quality control and nationally applicable standards.
